I'm a sucker for feature walls - you know the trend of having one wall in a room wallpapered in some damn fancy gorgeous wallpaper? Well, I know it's probably considered a little naff these days, but I don't care. I still love it. There are some extraordinary wallpaper designers out there who have kind of turned the whole thing into some form of high art.

An amazing wallpaper artist (and also a singer, performer and boutique fashion shop owner among other things!) was Florence Broadhust. Check out this delicate pattern - I love it in the bathroom!

And if you are looking for a DIY approach - I found these cool large wall stencils that creates a beautiful classic pattern. It's cheaper than actual specialised wallpaper and is reuseable, safe and non-toxic. Click on the pictures below for more info.

A more unusual variation on the wallpaper theme is created by Beware the Moon. their designs are kooky and yet still rather beautiful.I love their skulls collection:
Another artist with designs full of character is Studio Ditte. They specialize in quaint vintage patterns. they have some great ones for kids' bedrooms:
